Embroidery and sewing

Needlework and sewing has been a part of #LRCrafts, as standalone DIYs as well as part of multi-technique crafts, since 2016.

Also, needle crafts are Rici’s main projects.

The first approach to embroidery was related to the making of historical garments: we wanted to make a machine-made tunic seem more historical with hand-stitches. The first project was such a fun that more and more followed.

Then, to make proper historical attire, Rici got into hand sewing , while Locutus used his machine sewing skills, acquired with her seamstress grandmother.

Historical reenactment

Our journey into embroidery and sewing kicked off with a nod to history. Our very first projects were all about historical reenactments.

We dived into creating period costumes and capturing the vibe of historical events with our needles and threads.

These early ventures not only helped us sharpen our skills, but also sparked a genuine interest in weaving history into fabric. Come along as we tell you about our historical reenactment journey – where every stitch was a step into the past.
