Travel bag for embroidery or craft project
Travel bag to carry an embroidery or craft project. Detachable strap made using the lucet, an ancient tool for braiding, using a 4-color braiding pattern.
The bag has two inner compartments, one for the embroidery loop and one for notions or pattern. It also has an inner pocket for small items such as needle and scissors, and an elastic band for floss bobbins.
No lining to make the bag lightweight, compact and quick to make. The chosen fabric is sturdy and structured, with a reversible weave, good-looking on both sides. The decorative fringed selvedge has been used as a decorative element.

Her main crafting passions are lucet cordmaking (on which she is conducting historical research), embroidery and string art, though she enjoys experimenting with new techniques. For several years she has been researching the history of antique sewing machines, beginning with Singer. She created a searchable database of Singer serial numbers and has since focused on reconstructing as much information as possible about individual machines. Her goal is for a serial number to reveal not only the date and factory of manufacture, but also details such as decoration sets and available manuals.
She is also an Irish dancer and shares this passion with her husband : they first met through their dance academy.
