We are trying to keep our databases of vintage sewing machines serial numbers as accurate as possible.
Starting with the extant records available, we are building up accuracy by adding more data about the machines, such as manuals or decals. Now, if you search for a Singer serial number, we do have specific information about a (growing) bunch of machines. For them we list more than what covered by the ancient factory records, such as the model, the manual or spare parts list (if available in pdf), the decals and even original purchase receipts to help narrow down the age of the machine.
All this started with our researches about the production of the factories in Monza (Italy) and Bonnières-Sur-Seine (France), but you can help us expand.
Please, if you do know information about a Singer vintage sewing machine that go beyond what currently available in the extant production records, use the form in this page to send it to us: we’ll update our database accordingly.
Thank you for all your help!
