Woodworking

Woodworking has always been a favourite of Locutus.

From preparing the basis for string art projects to full-round sculptures, there’s nothing he said he couldn’t do, when the occasion arose.

Also furniture is among the favourite projects: footstools, tables, benches… when there isn’t something that suits his necessities, he simply plans and build what he needs.

Not to mention historical reenactment stuff. Beginning with archery items, from arrows to bow stands to targets, any wooden tool needed as a reenactor can be made at home.

Furniture

Footstools, tables, benches—name it, Locutus builds it. If there’s nothing that suits him, he simply sketches the plans and gets to work. What’s truly remarkable is Locutus’ ability to bring to life a vision that might not be readily available. If there’s no pre-existing design that fits his needs, he seamlessly transitions from contemplation to creation.

A standout project is the Montessori front-facing bookshelf. Rici has meticulously documented the plans in PDF format and even coded a user-friendly calculator. This valuable resource enables fellow crafters to recreate the Montessori front-facing bookshelf with custom dimensions.

Historical reenactment

Let’s not forget historical reenactment gear. Locutus and Rici began with archery essentials, from arrows to bow stands to targets, all crafted at home. It’s a double win—building what you need and having a customized set for reenactment events.

Locutus and Rici together, following Rici’s archaeological studies about the lucet, have designed and crafted wooden lucets, adding a unique touch to their reenactment arsenal.
