Paperclip Godzilla Finish

In use from 1940 up to 1953

In use for Classes:

  • 66
  • 99
  • 128

The Paperclip decal set was also applied to models with the so-called "Godzilla finish", also known as "crinkle" or "wrinkle" finish. In those cases, the decoration is applied only in the middle of the bed and on the front of the machine, around Singer logos, no borders around the bed. Because of the nature of the crinkle paint, the decals are usually fainter than the more common bright golden decals.

About the data shown here

The information here about the use of decals in factories and classes is based on verified machines currently recorded in our database. We currently do not have an official Singer source about which decals were in use where and when and on which machines.

Our dataset is continuously growing as new machines are documented and shared by collectors and researchers. As a result, the details presented here should be considered indicative and may be updated over time.

Contributions are very welcome: if you own or know of a vintage Singer machine, please feel free to submit information via the form or contact us to help improve and expand this research.
